Stocked up!

So, I know I haven't been on here much. I guess I have been a little too busy with organizing and taking care of things before this baby makes his grand appearance! I have several dresses in the works for Isabelle and I promise to post pictures when I have a couple more done!
Last week I spent a bit of time stocking up on diapers! I meant to post this last week so that you could go out and take advantage of the deal if it was a good one for you, but I just didn't get to it in time. So, now I post this as a lesson...to NEVER, EVER, EVER pay full price for diapers!
Guess how much I paid for all of these diapers: Did you guess?
Well, first you should know that there are 12 Jumbo packs of diapers in the picture. In total, there are nearly 600 diapers!
Huggies Jumbo Packs were on sale at Walgreens for $10. (Normal retail ranges from $12-$16)
Get 3 Jumbo Packs of Huggies
Use 3 $5 Huggies coupons (you can print 2 per computer)
Pay $15 and get $10 back in Register Rewards
Final Cost: $15 for 3 Jumbo Packs of Huggies!!!
What I did was use my Register Reward coupon on the next batch of 3 packages and only ended up paying $5 for the second batch.
I repeated this process at another store (because the first one was completely sold out)! I was frustrated because the coupons were for the Gentle Care diapers, but the sweet lady at Walgreens told me that the coupons should still work on ANY Huggies! So, I bought up as many as I could with my coupons!
When all was said and done, I spent $40(before tax) on all of these diapers!
When I came home, I found a place online called Caregivers Marketplace. They give rebates for all sorts of items that many caregivers may use. The Huggies Snug and Dry and Gentle Care diapers (except for the Newborn size) qualified for a $.75 rebate per package. So, I will be receiving a check back for $6.75!
Now, that is a deal! Granted, I don't know how often there will be deals like this out there, but it just goes to show that you have to keep your eyes open for them! I don't really like doing a lot of the deals that include rebates and such, but when something like this presents itself, you've gotta jump on it. And regardless of the sales going on, don't miss out on your $5 off coupons!!! I even got a few neighbors to print some out for me so that I could maximize this deal!
Now the baby's closet is stocked with diapers from Newborn to size 3. I imagine these will last us for quite a while since we are going to also venture into the world of cloth diapers! So these diapers will only be used as backups or for when Daddy is in charge. (He isn't too keen on the cloth diapering idea, but I am working on him! I think he is going to be surprised at how easy it really is) But that is a whole other post for another day!
Well, that is enough from me! Back to sewing world I go so that I can post some more pictures soon!

That is awesome! I so wish I would have known this was going on! I would have gone for Kercher =) He is using the potty about 10% of the time, but not much Daddy will be doing the traning with his month off =)

I did the same diaper deal...mostly for baby showers, but I was more interested in the wipes. I used the $5 coupon on the Gentle Care wipes refill at Target (normally $5.99) and got them for 99 cents! Can't beat that! I think I have enough wipes now to last at least 6 months for Addysen.

Kim,
This is great! Where do you get the %5 coupon. I got online and tried to find it, but couldn't.
Thanks,
